Harwich Connexions Windmill Nursery opened on 2nd April 2024. This is our second nursery in the Harwich area. We offer Ofsted registered day care for babies, toddlers and pre-school children aged between 3 months and 5 years old.
We pride ourselves on providing a safe, secure and welcoming environment for children. We are an inclusive nursery where each child is given equal opportunity to discover and develop through high quality, play based learning.
Open Monday - Friday between 8am and 6pm during 50 weeks of the year. An ideal early years setting for the children of working parents. We currently have places available.
The Windmill Nursery has splendid light and airy accommodation with direct access from our baby, toddler and pre-school rooms to under cover and garden play spaces. We are conveniently located next to the Two Village Primary School, Ramsey, with our own car park for easy drop off and collection.

Parents concerned about the closure of the Oaklea Montessori Nursery at Mayes Lane, Ramsey, are relieved a new provide stepped in to save the nursery setting.
Essex County Council arranged for the nursery to stay open, and having completed due process has chosen Harwich Connexions to run the nursery.
Richard Colley, Chairman of Harwich Connexions said ‘’We are delighted to be selected by the County Council and will relaunch the nursery at the beginning of April 2024 as the Windmill Nursery. Although we are best known in the Harwich area for our community bus services, our team has extensive Early Years experience as we manage the Ofsted registered Noah’s Day Nursery at Barrack Lane, Harwich, in addition to other community services.''
He added ‘’ We offer continuity for children currently on roll and invite enquiries and applications from parents seeking places for their children. The Windmill Nursery will be open Monday to Friday during 50 weeks of the year. This makes it an ideal nursery setting for working parents.’’
