Transport - Tendring Shuttle
Shuttle community buses serve towns and villages in the Tendring District area. This is a joint service provided by Harwich Connexions and Tendring Community Transport working in partnership.
Starting from our transport hubs at Harwich and Clacton shuttle buses operate between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Saturday. This service is ideal for those who are isolated from everyday transport for shopping, medical appointments, social outings, visiting friends, education, work, sport and any other activity that helps connect people with community opportunities. Our drivers are trained to assist any wheelchair passenger and the buses have tail lifts.
How to Book: Contact us to register for this service before your intended day of travel. For enquiries and bookings:
For Harwich and the north Tendring area phone the Harwich Office on 01255 552010
For Clacton and the south Tendring area phone the Clacton Office on 01255 436962
You will need to tell us your name, address and contact details, as well as your Bus Pass details if you have one.
To enquire or book a journey tell us what time you would like to be picked up, where you wish to go, and what time you would like to return.
When you book your seat please tell us if you use a wheelchair, walking frame or require the passenger tail lift.
You will need to book by 3.00pm on the working day before you wish to travel at the latest.
We will endeavour to match your request with our service availability based on bookings received for the shuttle buses.
Free Travel: The Tendring Shuttle is free for holders of a valid bus pass. However, if you do not hold a valid local authority bus pass then a £4.00p fare will be charged per journey.
This shuttle community bus service is provided thanks to funding received from The National Lottery, North East Essex CCG Community Fund and the Essex Community Foundation.
